What are the Hanoiens thinking about the Long Bien Bridge? What do they represent for them, old and new generations? How did they see it and how do they see it today? Platform of artistic, cultural and intellectual exchanges, for a city which moves and metamorphoses permanently, this festival wants to be a time for the memory of the bridge and through it, of the city and on of what his population wishes to make it.
During 2 days, on October 10th and 11th 2009, year of the 55th anniversary of the liberation of Hanoi, The festival will be a door opened for multiple events which will announce the millennium of Thang Long – Hanoi.
The main themes of the vent will the “Memory and the dreams of the Bridge” : memory of the bridge as a symbol of Hanoi, city of the heroism and of resistance during the war, but also the bridge of loves, life, and dreams, the dream of a city.
